 Over 700 Management and Operations (M&O) transportation resources were recently added to the National Transportation Training Resource (NTTR) by the University of Maryland’s Center for Advanced Transportation Technology (CATT). These resources were compiled by CATT as part of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Transportation Operations Framework project (NCHRP Project 20-77) that focused on the development of a M&O training and capacity building framework for transportation operations technicians, engineers, and managers. Soon, the Transportation Operations Framework will be added to the NTTR's advanced search capabilities, giving NTTR users the ability to easily locate and group M&O resources by the framework’s various competencies levels, core functions, and skill levels.

You can upload a large number of resources into the NTTR using the NTTR’s XML upload feature. XML is a language that is used to structure and transport data between different systems and platforms. The NTTR can accept resources from databases, spreadsheets, and text documents if converted to XML. Learn more.

Advanced Search capabilities were added to the NTTR. The Advance Search tool gives NTTR users more options for locating resources in the NTTR database and returns more precise search results. Try out the Advanced Search now.

A fully functioning beta of the NTTR was launched on Oct. 15, 2008. Over the coming weeks, the NTTR will undergo periodic testing and updating, which might result in some features being temporarily unavailable. Please continue to visit the NTTR as the application is refined and improved. You can now register as a Resource Contributor or Resource Steward, upload your organization’s training resources into the NTTR, and provide feedback.
